FLEXcon Chalks Up Another Success

  In their Spring Newsletter, FLEXcon announced the results of an abrasion test performed on WALLdeco Chalkboard 6787BK and three other competitive products.  As noted in their article, Taking the Performance Challenge, "With an expected use of up to six months, chalkboard products must be very resistant to abrasion and scratching in order to withstand daily use and cleaning."
  Appreciating that durability and resistance to scratching are key performance factors, FLEXcon used a rotary platform abrasion tester from Taber Industries (taberindustries.com) to subject each material to an abrasion test.  While each product showed some wear after testing, the WALLdeco Chalkboard showed far less wear than all of the other competing products. 
  FLEXcon invites readers to test the materials themselves.  Using 00 steel wool, rub the surface of the products you are comparing 25-30 times with moderate pressure.
